Good morning!

With Spring in the air and flowers all around, it seemed a good time to pull some flower pictures out of the archives. Nymphaeaceae, or water lillies are not particularly spring flowers, but for some reason, these two pictures, both taken in Wellington Botanic Gardens a couple of years back, seemed to be very apposite. There is something immediately calming about a waterlily pond and that in Wellington's peaceful botanic gardens is no exception.

I'll be back on Monday with the next installment in the "Quotables" series.
In the meantime, I leave you with best wishes for a great weekend,

  1. Beautiful waterlilies! Feeling calmer already :)

  2. Waterlilies are some of my favorite flowers. I get some real pretty ones in my backyard pond, but they are mostly white with pale pink. Love the purple one you have here.
